Here you can read about my efforts to creating freely accessible MacRae Genealogy database.

For me the obvious choice of software is PhpGedview, so I now have a trial installation and have a copy of my own public database on-line. The MacRae Families section has 45 families (Nov. 9th 2009) where at least one member has the MacRae surname.

Anyone can look around the site, and I encourage you to request an account if you want to explore how PhpGedview works, especially if you have MacRae Genealogy information you're willing to share with the public.
